Walter Cherwony is a public transportation planning and management consultant. He has extensive experience in route and system planning, development and implementation of service standards, and productivity analysis. He has developed service and capital plans for transit operations throughout the country. He has assisted transit agencies in the development of performance measures and the conduct of functional reviews and management studies.
Brian McCollom, Principal of McCollom Management Consulting, formerly managed FTA’s technical assistance and research program in operations planning. He has designed and managed studies on performance evaluation, data collection, cost estimation and allocation, and route-level demand estimation. Many of the reports from these studies have become standard references in the transit industry. For the past 20 years, Mr. McCollom has served as one of the principal instructors for the National Transit Database Reporting Seminars conducted annually by FTA.
